Scifi Laboratory Process

I used the project to really push my limits. I wanted to use it as a massive action learning experience. My goals were to make a real-time environment, tell a story about the scientist who owns the lab, and make it all in a really cramped space. This would force me to work in multiple visual layers. The scientist is a workaholic who hardly ever leaves his work area.

This is the scientist's working lab. He spends most of his time in this cramped space working on his projects.

I wanted a floating hologram in the scene. I used a cube and set the material in Unreal to wireframe. Then I gave it an emissive. There was going to be beams holding the cube, but I felt it felt better without them.
